Since Jes enjoyed rafting, I thought maybe she'd like an ocean kayak for her bday. We did a sunset paddle before going to see Isle of Dogs.

This, of course, meant rigging a pulley system in the garage to easily store and load the vessel which she christened Gamora.

Menacing

Not too much progress on the garage annex. I did a final concrete pour on the tool storage area. The magnetic backer board isn't really a thing, instead it will be plywood with strips of magnets for holding wrenches, screwdrivers, and such.

Another layer of concrete and cinder blocks on the middle-of-the-room section. This will have paint buckets and plastic bins with car parts, low-use tools, and the like.

If anyone ever tells you pressure treated wood is termite-proof...

February of course means the Blind Lady Ale House Cape Run. Most of the usual suspects were there this time, plus Jessica and Shar.

Steady progress on the garage annex. I leveled another section but ran out of cinder blocks (having used 100ish, total).

After a couple of months, Monster Hunter World is finally out of beta and flying off of store shelves.
